Social that moves the numbers.
I'm Gael Meza (pronounced Guy-Ehl Meh-za), a unique multiskilled creative professional based in Austin. I plan it, shoot it, design it, post it, and write it. Currently doing all of the above for the largest national soccer retailer in the country.

Every piece starts with one question: why would someone care? My content is focused on establishing a connection with a specific audience. I create easy-to-digest digital media meant to accomplish objectives.

New arrivals template: a graphic overlay I designed, built to take any kit.
One reusable layout: Soccer Post branding, a headline slot for the kit name, a caption line, and a background I build in Photoshop to match each jersey's colors. I shoot the jersey, drop it in, and the post is done. Ten kits so far, five shown here.

Destino.
Local Austin streetwear rooted in Hispanic values, with a deeply local customer base.

- The shoot
- Restock campaign for Destino, shot and edited by me.
- Lighting
- One light: a 60cm octabox as the key, with natural light as the edge. Edited in Lightroom.
- The approach
- A simple setup that lets the message on the shirt carry the story.
"No Human Is Illegal."Printed on the Destino pink jersey
- The shoot
- Pink jersey campaign for Destino, shot and edited by me.
- Lighting
- One small 45cm gridded softbox, outdoors at night. One frame inside a mercado, lit by the store's own warm light.
One boot, a full studio set.
Launch assets for every market.
- Goal
- Launch content for every Soccer Post market account, led by Austin.
- What I did
- Lit, shot, and edited the full set. Stills on a red sweep with a single gridded key light: hero shots, macro details of the leather, soleplate, and heel, and styled flat lays, edited in Lightroom. The vertical video uses one key light on a dark background to match the edge of the boot, shot by me and edited in DaVinci Resolve.
- Result
- Other markets adopted the set for their own accounts, and the national account ran the video. Austin stores saw a clear lift in foot traffic.
Charly Heritage Collection.
An official four-way brand collaboration, produced, shot, and edited end to end.
- The brief
- Launch Charly's Heritage Collection with Soccer Post and show the community a more human side of the brand.
- What I did
- Produced, shot, and edited a downtown Austin apparel and street style shoot: stills and a short film. Published as a four-way collab with Charly USA, Charly Fútbol, Soccer Post, and Soccer Post ATX.
- Result
- Solid traffic to the site, and a bigger return in brand equity: praise from other Soccer Post market accounts and loyal customers, and deeper trust between Soccer Post and Charly. Community drives sales, not the other way around.
Seamless carousel: 8 slides that flow as one image, built from Charly's brand assets.
By the numbers.
6.9M views for the cost of one pair of boots.
- Goal
- Grow reach for the national account with no budget.
- What I did
- Spotted a creator mid-way through his "Becoming A Pro Soccer Player" series, playing in Copa Mundial boots with holes in them. Pitched the collab myself, coordinated the product, and ran it as a collab post so the reach credited Soccer Post.
- Result
- 6.9M views, 579K likes, 53.4K shares, 19.6K saves: about 240x the account's ~29K followers, and the most-viewed post in company history. It also proved a format. A simple boot unboxing on a trending audio is now one of our content pillars (see the unboxings in Work).
- What I'd do next
- Funnel the new audience straight to the website: a CTA in the creator's caption, and a pinned post that tells new viewers who we are.
Dormant for a decade. 130K+ views in a month.
- Goal
- Bring back a channel that had been effectively dormant for a decade.
- What I did
- Took full ownership as YouTube account manager: rebranded the channel, launched our YouTube Community, and published its first post, which beat our engagement expectations.
- Result
- 130K+ views and ~300 new subscribers in the 30 days to Oct 14, 2026. That is nearly 9% of the channel's 1.5M lifetime views, in a single month. September 2026 (~80K views) was its best month in about 15 years.
- What I'd do next
- Post quality long-form horizontal video on a steady schedule, built to be cut down and reused across our other platforms.
~800K views in six weeks.
- Goal
- Own the World Cup moment across the national and Austin accounts.
- What I did
- Concepted, researched, fact-checked, and produced the program: SP Stats carousels (Mexico and USMNT, Round of 16), a quarterfinals bracket, matchup graphics, and boot and kit content, all on a verify-before-publish rule.
- Result
- June 9 to July 21, 2026, national and Austin combined: ~800K views, ~266K accounts reached, ~40K interactions, ~994 net new followers.
- What I'd do next
- Have a breakout plan ready. When one reel outperforms, ride it the same week: a fast follow-up in the same format, a pinned post, and a short series built on what worked.
In the moment.
Some of my favorite content is what I catch on my phone in the moment: real events, real emotions, all intentionally crafted for today's social media expectations.

Sales floor to national social.
I started on the sales floor at The Soccer Corner in 2022, and I still create like a salesperson: content has to move people to act. Today I run four Soccer Post accounts, with Metricool handling scheduling and audience data, so posts land when each audience is most active and the hours I save go into the work. Community builds sales, not the other way around. Next, I want to bring that to a brand that cares how it shows up in the real world.
